It's the Plajapets! Interchangeable Stuffed Animals

Thmbnl_completesetWhat kid hasn't tried ripping the head off a doll or stuffed animal? Now you can (yeah!) and it will go back on too (double yeah!!!) Plajapets are stuffed animals that you can "take" apart and interchange with one another - there is a magnet to help you do that. Playing with the plajapets is probably the most fun I have ever had in my experience of testing for CBB for over the last 6 months!

I was a little skeptical when I heard about them, but we had such a blast playing with them!  We saw Pingguo the Panda Bear, Vappu the Goldfish (who Ben LOVES to run around holding), Dermot the Rabbit, Hokon the Dragon, and Muga the Elephant. My friend came over with her 6 1/2 year old daughter and 4 year old son. I gave them a Plajapet each and they went crazy for them. They switched the heads and tails onto the other's and were giggling the whole time. My friend reported when they got home, they had a great time sticking the Plajapets' heads to the side of the car, fridge, radiator, fireplace, etc... Which Ben and I didn't even think of doing!

On the website (also comes with the plajapet), comes a little bio on each one. That can be used a tool for your child creating up stories with their Plajapet (says the teacher in me). They have a bunch more plajapets coming out soon. The backstory is that the Plajapets come from the Plaja group of Islands (yes, made up). The website has activities that will be coming soon.

My Recommendation: I would have made them a little smaller and put removable arms and legs
on too - though the company tells me that they are coming out with a smaller version. My son loves the fish and is not even interested that the head and tail comes off (he just cuddles with it). He's only 22 months though and as he gets older, he's going to love interchanging them. The company recommends age 4 and up, but I supervised him with the Plajapet and he was fine.  For a gal with a decent sized apartment, that seems to be getting smaller by the minute, I cringe when people give me any kind of toys or stuffed animals (so smaller is better!).

Want to grab some for your child? You can get 6 for the price of 5 (for $89.95), the Light Set (3 for $52.99) or the Bright Set (3 for $52.99). I have to say that the Plajapets were a fun toy and we had a great time with them.! Shop online here
